Disposal centre

Although the waste disposal centre, coordinated by Dr Stefan Jopp, is not part of the Institute of Chemistry, but part of the Hazardous Waste and Environmental Protection (D3.3.5) Division in the Department of Technology, Construction and Property (D3), it is listed here not only because of its proximity, but above all because it offers very important services for the Institute of Chemistry.

The main task of the Hazardous Waste and Environmental Protection Division is to ensure the professional disposal of hazardous waste in the university area and thus compliance with environmental protection provisions. The disposal centre is used to process hazardous waste. Chemicals and glass equipment that accumulate in the disposal centre and are suitable for further use are made available to all university research groups in the Chemicals Exchange and the Glass Exchange.
